We don't have a helpdesk, and we can't help with individual applications — we are an independent guide, not the SAPS. But if you spot an error in the guide, an out-of-date closing date, or a new scam going around that other applicants should know about, we want to hear it.

The best way to reach us is through the discussions and comments on this site. Leave a comment on the relevant article — for example, if a scam warning needs updating, comment on the scams post. Other readers benefit from seeing the conversation, and we read everything.

A few things to know before you write:

  • We cannot check your application status, speed up your application, or contact SAPS on your behalf.
  • For anything about your actual application — status, documents, eligibility — use the official SAPS e-recruitment portal (erecruitment.saps.gov.za) or contact SAPS directly through saps.gov.za.
  • If someone claiming to be us asks you for money or personal documents, that's a scam. We never ask for either.
  • Please don't post your ID number, phone number, or address in public comments.

What helps us help you: if you're reporting an error, tell us which page it's on and what the official SAPS source says instead — a link to the SAPS advert or media statement is ideal. If you're reporting a scam, describe how the scammer contacted you and what they asked for, without naming any personal details. The more specific you are, the faster we can warn other readers.

We read comments during the intake window (21 October to 13 November 2026) and update the guide when something needs fixing. Replies may take a day or two — we're a small team, not a call centre.

We try to keep the guide accurate during the intake window (21 October to 13 November 2026), but SAPS is the final authority on all recruitment matters.
